That's comparing dx9 to 10. To compare the cards, you would use dx9. "better looking" is subjective, I, for example, thing hdr looks like crap, so I keep it off in games. I also don't notice aliasing much in games.

The intel system doesn't need ddr2 800, it will have much more of an effect on the amd system. 800 vs 667 is 100 bucks versus 200 bucks, at least in the UK. Your choice, but i'm leaning towards the c2d with ddr2 667. I'm sure there are p35 based boards for ~$140.

2900xt costs the same as 1950xtx. As does 8800gts. 1950 xtx is not worth the money. The Striker Extreme is definately not worth it, overpriced POS. Get a p35 board instead. Wait for quad core price drops 22 july.

Apparently, the Enzotech Ultra-X trashes everything else. Damned if I can find anywhere in the UK which sells it though. Even eBay doesn't have it. Might be worth waiting for though :wink: .
