Did you ever find an answer to this, having exactly the same issue but mine is a Seagate 4TB SSHD and my mobo is Asus P9X79 Pro which does support UEFI But cant see it in BIOS. I can see it in Disk Manager but it wont let me initialize the drive, I get an error saying 'Incorrect Function'...

Hi guys, I was hoping that somebody somehwere could help m,e with this issue. My HDD had failed on me yesterday, no clicking sound just vanished, two fo them and so I purchased a Seagate 4tb SSHD as the drives were 4 years old and probably at the end of their life as they had been shipped out...
