In other words, is there any way to get my memory up to 1866Mhz base speed, without increasing the FSB? The system does not perform as well when I use FSB to overclock as when using the multiplier. The difference is incredible!
I can raise the muliplier, or the FSB without having to touch voltage. The computer runs fine with the CPU overclocked, my problem is getting the memory to run at its native speed of 1866Mhz. The board and CPU both support this speed, I dont see why it will not boot to BIOS if 1866 speed is...
When I overclock the CPU using just the multiplier, the memory frequency does not move, stays at 800Mhz. If I overclock by raising FSB, the memory will make it to about 1760Mhz before system comes unstable. I am trying to use the multiplier to overclock, as I have heard this is the best way...

I want to believe that, I REALLY do lol. But this forum on this site goes very deep into the issue and many people say to leave it alone. I would love to turn it down to 2GB, but if those people are right and I cant, I would like to use another drive to supply the 8GB of space...
I said the same thing at first, but Windows default is to match your page file size to the amount of memory installed. It has been confirmed a fact that this setting is optimal and shouldnt be changed. Why, I am not sure, but it consumes alot of HDD space. As far as the page file being for...
I just upgraded to a Plextor m5 128GB SSD. The drive benchmarked very high for a low price so I took the gamble and im mostly very pleased :) The WEI is 7.7 and my computer is MUCH more responsive. I do however seem to be running out of space very quickly (53 GB free) and because I have 8GB of...
I lowered the timings to 8-8-8-24 and was able to unlock an option to turn the speed up to 1600Mhz, which I did and CPU-Z is now recognizing it as DDR3-1600, but have a few questions. First and foremost, why did this not move the WEI from 7.3? This strikes me as real odd and as I know not many...
