I have a seagate expansion and had the same issues, USB 3 connection to PC. I uninstalled the drivers for this drive in control panel and windows loaded the drivers again. Not had any issues since....
I am also having CPU fan errors since the install of Win 10.... so annoying. The fan is spinning ok and I have not had this issue since win 10 was installed.
