In Win Launches A1 ITX Case With Built-In Wireless Charger

the cooler solutions don't look the best imo. Also not a fan of having an included PSU. I already have a sfx-l psu so i would be buying something i don't need.

Lian Li Debuts Alpha Series Tempered Glass Cases

looks like it has great cooling, love all that mesh... i don't know about the lattice on the front; not the most appealing aesthetic imo. Also, this is just me, but i like lian li for their light weight high quality cases. Throwing tempered glass on their cases that add a bunch of weight, just...

Intel 7700k vs Ryzen 1700 for gaming and recording

next gen Intel is going to have 6 cores, 12 threads which will still be less than the 8 cores 16 threads AMD currently has. It will also probably be more expensive than a 7700k which is already more expensive than the 1700 he's thinking about. Also when you're calling on waiting until later...

Intel 7700k vs Ryzen 1700 for gaming and recording

I would recommend the 1700. There is only really 1 type of gamer that I think will benefit from i7s and that is the hardcore FPS gamer that appreciates 200+ fps. For everyone else, the difference between i7 and r7 in games right now is moot. And it seems more likely that the r7 will age better...

CPU Hierarchy biased against older CPUs?

I'm surprised to see the 2600k pushed to the 2nd tier of CPUs, seeing Gamer's Nexus benchmarks where it trades blows with the 7600k in game benchmarks. The 2600k is placed in a tier below not only the 7600k, but much slower CPUs as well, such as the 3550. Is there a bias going on with older CPUs?

SilverStone Outed An SFF Case For ‘Power Users’ At Computex

i would expect being able to fit a 240mm AIO in a SFF for power users. And idk, acrylic makes the case look cheap.

Apple Halts Qualcomm Royalty Payments During Legal Battle

i don't get how Apple is avoiding paying the royalties. Third party makes product, part of the cost is the royalties to Qualcomm. Apple is like, yeah, we're not going to pay for the royalties party, but we still want it. So they pay less money for it. How does that work? I'd like to go to the...

Intel & AMD Processor Hierarchy (Archive)

gamers nexus just did benchmarks with an 2600k overclocked to 4.7Ghz. Which is an easy overclock and it outperformed every Intel I5 in every benchmark. And the 2600k in the third tier with plenty of I5's above it? I think you're undervaluing threads on the intel side...

    Best CPUs (Archive)

The problem is for gaming CPUs only really matter for streaming or for the future. In streaming, the 16 threads of Ryzen is great And we don't know whether the Ryzen 1700 or the 7700k will be better in the future. Right now the 2500k is worse than the FX 8370 in a lot of modern games, but...

Nintendo Finally Responds To Switch's Joy-Con Issues

Do these solutions seem not credible for a lot of users? Yes. But it sounds like you're living in an echo chamber with comments like "the Switch is probably not going to be anyone's only console" and "Combine those with set-top boxes, wireless routers, speakers, and the like, and it's hard to...

Zenimax Seeks To Block Sales Of Oculus Rift, Gear VR

My understanding of the ruling was that the Jury ruled in favor of Facebook regarding the code. That the largest part sum from the ruling was for using Zenimax games while showing off the VR technology. So i don't see how they have grounds to stop more from being sold. But we will have to wait...
