The issue is more about closing MotionJoy as I don't want it to effect the controller buttons. For example, if I exit a game that is only keyboard and mouse (Amnesia) to one that supports controllers (Dishonored), I don't want the key bindings from the previous game to effect the controller in...

Found the issue! The drivers on the provided disc were outdated. New drivers on Asus website fixed the issue.

I did as you advised. I uninstalled ALL the Nvidia drivers, restarted PC, reinstalled drivers (clean install deleting any profiles), and tested movies with VLC, PowerDVD, and XBMC. All resulted with low bass output. I switched over to the PS3, played Infamous and got booming bass. I am at a loss...
