Yep, thats one downside. There is so little of the thermal paste left and it's only on the pin sockets that I hoped a little that it was conducting. The layer is very thin, you can barely see it. Does it matter or can I just let it be?

Well, I used pure isopropyl alcohol and q tips to clean it, I should be fine right?

So I had to send my new motherboard back for rma stuff, and when cleaning the thermal paste out of my i7 6700k some of that stuff got in the back side (no idea how), very thin line and it affected about 5 pin slots or whatever they are called when there are no pins nowadays. I got most of it...

So seems like I got a damaged motherboard, I have to send it back to the store and they will probably send me a whole new one Asus Z170-A. Does my windows-licence still recognize the key or is it logged in the bios files or whatever? Is it enough that i deactivate the licence with slmgr /upk...

Old thread i know, just tested another PSU and the problem is still there. I ordered the MB from Germany and i'm from Finland, dude from Asus told me to ship the mb back to germany for rma, anything I can do? That would be like a month without pc.
