Yeah, post a screenshot of task manager running while Oblivion is running. See if the game is bugged and overtaxing your system or if it's something else.

If it's not overlocked or overheating, then it's possible a driver issue, or worse, your video card is physically FUBAR.

Overclocked or overheating would be my guess, possibly bad drivers.

The Forest is still pretty unoptimized. 80fps seems about right with everything on high / ultra. What kind of hard drive do you have? HDD / SSD?

The Thief games were some of the best games ever made, and even though obviously the graphics are dated, are still absolutely amazing.

lol, no one under the age of 30 remembers playing MDK. It was an amazing game though, both of them.

HDD is terrible for gaming, especially on games like Rust and Battlefield. Also, AMD usually suffers from a few optimization issues. Sounds stupid, but have you made sure that those games aren't using the integrated graphics on the motherboard?

I've seen hard drives bad right out of the box, others that die after a week.

Always a possibility, but overlocking is usually the main issue.

As was said, HDD is going bad. Needs to be replaced. Save what data you need now before it completely dies.

You'd be amazed at what can actually power most games. Don't forget that some gaming PCs can cost $2,000+ and play everything at max, while a $300 console can run the same games with lower FPS and image quality. If you're ok at medium settings and 30 FPS, you can probably run 90%+ of games on...
