UPDATE: I bought the CPU and installed it a few days ago. The motherboard, even it is an OEM board, recognized it immediately. All I did was install the latest BIOS update and hope for the best. The Xeon works flawlessly and has this far been a good upgrade for me.

Hi, Recently I was given an old desktop PC, and I have upgraded it a bit with a few spare parts from previous builds. It handles most of the games that I play really well, but I believe that the CPU (i5-750) is a bit on the short side. As I am not willing to spend loads of cash on this machine...
