The problem is it won't boot from the MS recovery tool I downloaded. It said "The upgrade option isn't available to you" I did not want an upgrade just a bootable thumb drive to try and restore my SSD, I obviously am using the wrong tool.

MS has a windows 10 recovery disk which I think I will try. If that works I can update to W 11. I have it on my laptop and am not fond of the new interface. but it is the way to go I guess.

I have made some progress. I ordered new menory because I was getting a bad memory beep warning. It did work now at least I can get to the bios and indeed see it. I was hoping to be able to use my previous SSD as it was working fine but the new build will not boot from it. Not sure what to do...
