    Phenom 965 runs too hot

Was yours overclocked by any chance? Mine is running at stock 3.4ghz. Also I do plan on purchasing a Cooler Master TX3 to alleviate my heat issues. My case is a Cooler Master 310, I wasn't sure if a 212 would fit in it.

    Phenom 965 runs too hot

It turns out the problem was the mobo, after searching online for a solution it appears that others with the same mobo and cpu have the exact same issue as me. Setting it to "Power Saver" mode fixes the heat issue as it lowers the voltages to 1.1v which in turn makes my pc run cooler at around...

    How to adjust CPU Voltages?

Alright after doing some more research I just found out that I can't manually set voltages for my mobo (M3A76-CM) as it only gives me 4 options which are power savings mode, standard, +50mv or +100mv. It seems that others with the same mobo and cpu have the same issues as me. Only work around I...

    How to adjust CPU Voltages?

Also could it be dust that is causing my cpu voltage to increase? There seems to be an accumulation of dust on the heatsink of my cpu.

    How to adjust CPU Voltages?

I don' think I've got a choice here as my voltages are at 1.5v and that's at stock, it's supposed to be at 1.4v max. This causes it to heat up but I just noticed that if I choose "Power saver" option the temps drop to 30's. Right now it heats up to 50+ celsius and it's not even under load.

    How to adjust CPU Voltages?

Hey all, I'm a complete noob when it comes to this and basically I'm just trying to lower the voltages on my cpu. When I went into my BIOS all I got were these options. So how do I lower voltages? Also my cpu is a Phenom 965 @ 3.4ghz stock, Asus Cool & Quiet says it's on 1.5v when I hit the...

    Phenom 965 runs too hot

I'm using the stock cooler and the thermal paste is already applied. After doing some more research the problem is caused by my high voltages. Apparently it's supposed to be 1.4v max but mine is on 1.5v. Now the question is, how do I change the voltages of my cpu?

    Phenom 965 runs too hot

Hey all I seem to be having heating issues with my Phenom 965 and I think my problem is due to high voltages. My temperatures rises to 60+ just by watching HD livestreams on twitch.tv. My question is are my voltages correct? "Balanced Mode" on my Power settings, Asus Cool & Quiet show my Mhz...
