    7600gt artifacting

The artifacting is only in ati tool there is no visual artifacts so i think that the problem with the artifacts lies with ati tool. The others not ocing is unknown but i will get around it muhahahahahahahaha! lol! he he

    7600gt artifacting

The normall clock is pretty high thats why they don't oc as well but still i am only running 46 idle and 48 load so i should still get some oc. Thats what my friends 6800gs runs stock and he oc's like crazy with worse airflow. Anyway will just have to see if i can get oblivion to run at my...

    7600gt artifacting

I do no how to overclock so i don't see my card blowing up. I have already tried coolbits, rivatuner, and ati tool. Nothing will let me oc. I might be able to get rivatuner to work if i rollback my video driver but i don't want to if i don't have to.

    7600gt artifacting

I bought a evga 7600gt a while ago and coolbits wouldn't let me oc. Heck it wouldn't even come back as a complete test at stock speeds. So i ran ati tool like you and found same thing. I was annoyed so i did some snooping in ati tools options and found a place that allows better compatibility, i...

    ASRock opinions

I bought that same asrock board refurb from newegg and worked fine untill i put a pci-e card in it and then i found out the pci-e didn't work. Darn refurb. Friend has one though and he loves it he is running a pci-e 6800gs in it right now and used to run a 9600pro. Runs great just don't get it...

    Upgrade from MX420....

Yeah i think so, i don't know why it wouldn't. Just thinking that it would be the most efficient use of your money because that is a pretty old system and a computer is only as fast as it's slowest part. The ram will handle it no prob i just think your getting to the end of the cpu's life in...

Time to get a new mobo!

Thanks for the help i decided on getting a msi K8NGM2-FID. Its the same as the ASUS but is better all around in performance, stability (the asus seems to have good and bad variants alot), and features. The only problem is finding one because so many people are going for them. There is a topic on...

Time to get a new mobo!

Ok with much long and hard research i did find that the onboard video that i was looking at does not effect later putting in a card. For other peoples reference that may have same problem is a link to xbit labs where they show and talk about the main onboard video chipsets. Link to onboard...

    Upgrade from MX420....

Hey, the mx420 is the same i upgraded from to a 9600 lol. It makes a big difference. But i believe you should go with a 6600gt because it's cheaper than other choices and because you are probably going to start running into cpu bottlenecks after that anyway (correct me if i am wrong). Anyway you...

    need motherboard info

Understanding comes with doing. Most of what people on here say may sound kinda funny to you but they all mean something and after the first few times you will start to pick it up. The stuff i am about to say may seem confusing but i will try to keep it simpler. Now: Amd processor is a good...
