Lucian, please fact check this text in the first paragraph: "Browser users will still be able to manually play Flash inside Chrome for a while longer." Where in the source did you see a date that Chrome would stop shipping with Flash support if users decided to enable content?

To the author: I don't believe the 1151 socket design allows you to leave the Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS) off of the CPU. The CPU would sit too low in the socket for any cooler to touch. For anyone thinking about de-lidding, please confirm before proceeding with the instructions in this post.

If you don't have a spare PSU, no problem. Perhaps just verify the 20+4 pin connector is seated correctly. Unplug it, and reseat it. You may have bumped it during the installation of the new GPU. My own personal experience with PC repair shops... they are terribly unqualified. I hope...

Here is another thing to try, to eliminate the PSU as the culprit. If you have a spare (known to be working) power supply.... you don't need to remove the Chieftec psu from the case, just disconnect the leads to the motherboard (20+4) and replace that connection with the known-good power...

This is commonly referred to as a 'boot loop'. I've experienced this a few times myself and fixed it by removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes. Please post the model/brand name of the following components: motherboard, GPU, and power supply so I can look into it further.
