Any ideas?? I am getting desperate.

Since my monitor (Shimian 27" inch IPS monitor) does not have a DP port, I had to purchase a rather expensive adapter to connect it with the Vega 56. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A493CNY/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza) It actually works okay when I don't have any Radoen drivers installed...

Now, do the tests again with meltdown/spectre applied on intel cpus, as you should. And you will see a VERY different story, with 2700k destroying 8700k in almost every measure). (check out anandtech's review to get an idea)

I reiterate: the other reviews may have received some form of patch (check out the test dates for the intel cpus; many date from January 2018) but it appears that only anandtech has applied the most recent and comprehensive April Meltdown/Spectre patch from MS. While there needs to be time...

Hi, screen is Shimian 27" IPS. Mobo is Gigabyte Z68 CPU is 2500K I5. PSU is corsair TX650W MOnitor only has double link DVI. SO i am converitng that into DisplayPort through an active DP to double DVI adaptor

Hmm.. that got me thinking. What happens if I do not connect it to monitor and try to navigate into windows without display? If I memorize the sequence of keyboard strokes to get into windows and turn off the computer, if I am able to execute that, wouldn't that mean that the graphic card does...
