[SOLVED] Cpu at 95c under full load with no OC

it was the cooler, noctua nh-u12s immediately solved the issue. now i can run at 4.7ghz again and stay below 80 C under 100% load. Stock doesnt get above 60C at 100% load and my idle is 25-30C. :)

[SOLVED] Cpu at 95c under full load with no OC

Thanks for replying. HWInfo says the pump is running fine as well. I have read some reports of there being partial blockages in the pump or the liquid drying out which obviously less efficient, maybe thats what it is, but either way i am leaning towards the cooler as well. I was curious if there...

[SOLVED] Cpu at 95c under full load with no OC

I used to have my i7-6700k at 4.7ghz and using my current case/fans/corsair h100iv2 cooler setup could keep max load temps at 80 or lower. Now even at stock 4.0ghz (I even tried undervolting to 1.2v) it gets up 95c less than 5 mins into real bench. Corsair link says my pump is spinning and my...

Bypass gmail's smtp security by using an internal mail server instead?

Can I use an internal email server to forward smtp notification emails from my aquarium computer to my gmail and then have gmail send it back to my gmail and my phone? My aquarium computer can only utilize smtp without some type of security (I'm no expert) and most modern email providers like...

Help me improve GPU mining efficiency

I am currently mining with MiningPoolHub and Awesome Minor utilizing the "Managed Profit Miner" setting. I have reduced the available algorithms for selection to: Equihash, Ethereum, Lyra2REv2, Lyra2z, and NeoScrypt (based on what I have seen people recommend but I will definitely take input on...

Asus Z170a i7-6700k Adaptive Voltage Settings, which is better?

I noticed that setting it to 1.3v adaptive without an offset drops the idle voltage down to .8 instead of .9. Not a huge difference but still, seems to be better. I think most people have issues with adaptive voltage because they try to stress test their cpu with it on, with prime95 for example...

Asus Z170a i7-6700k Adaptive Voltage Settings, which is better?

Hey Ocers, After getting my 6700k to OC 4.7ghz at 1.3v I did some research regarding adaptive voltage settings in order to reduce voltage during idle. I found that several people had high voltage issues when using adaptive voltage rather than manual. I ended up trying to put the base voltage...

    Confirming Oveclock Stability

Good Afternoon Overclockers, I have been trying to find an up to date answer (most are 2015 or prior) regarding a sufficient testing protocol (general consensus) to confirm OC stability. My i7-6700k is currently OCd at 4.7ghz/1.3v with 32gb DDR4 ram OCd to 3000mhz at 1.353v. I ran 15 min aida64...
