AMD Ryzen Master is the correct program, and about the only one that will show you the correct temperature. On my 2700X, HWiNFO shows the cpu temp as +10 C over Ryzen Master temps.

Pretty much guarantee that the software you are using is faulty. HWiNFO shows my 2700X as +10 C in comparison to AMD's Ryzen Master utility.

I just wanted to add that my Ryzen 7 2700X also reads 10 degrees hotter in HWiNFO than in the Ryzen Master utility. At idle in HwiNFO I reports 42 C, in the Master utility it reports as 32C. So, a 10 degree C difference.

FYI, my 849 EVO would not upgrade with the Magician software. I had to go download the update and install in manually. I worked perfectly. I did a benchmark before and after. My Sequential read speed increased from 389 to 535. My Random read IOPS increased from 59113 to 61657. So, all in...

It sounds like the motherboard is shorting out or touching the new case somehow. Be sure that the tabs that hold the motherboard up, stand off's, are in the proper place and that you are not over tightening the screws when you screw it down.

Roberta, The first thing I would try is to download the Asus OEM drivers to see if that solves the problem. Be sure to do any "chipset" drivers, "video" drivers, etc.. You can typically find these drivers on the Asus site under Support, etc...

Try a quick fix. Remove the video card and clean it out with a can of compressed air. You may have a dust bunny stuck in there somewhere.

I don't know how they are going to do this. My tower CPU heatsink/fan HAS to be installed onto the mobo BEFORE it's installed in the case. Oh well, who knows?

Anyone remember Battledrome, or similar name? Similar walking chassis and loadouts to MW. The game was a test arena only, a dark circular arena, but it had LAN/Modem hookup and was around the time of MW1 I think. Man I played that for ever with friends over the modem.

Game ran great, no crashes. However, after about 4 hrs I was bored. I guess if you like Sim's type of games you will love this. If you are looking for action then you may or may not.

Just curious if there was a clear winner in deciding what RAM to purchase? Would you go with faster RAM i.e. - (DDR2 1066 -vs- DDR2 800); ... or would you choose faster timings i.e. - (4-4-4-12 -vs- 5-5-5-12)? Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
