Valve doesn't try to dictate what people do with their hardware once someone has bought it? LOL

You mean...where 90% of game sales occur? lol And their "disks" are often just game download codes?

I'm not sure why you're OCD focused on the Steam deck, which released in 2022, to make a comparison here. There are a slew of handhelds on the market now that run circles around the Switch 2. When they release an updated Steam Deck, it likely will too. And you can modify it without Valve...

A scam? The Switch 2 comes with 2-3 hours of battery life. A laughable 256GB of storage which hasn't been relevant in a decade. (1TB NVME drives are $50) A non-OLED edge lit LCD screen. Non Hall Effect or TMR sticks, so they're 100% going to drift over time. And it runs the equivalent of a RTX...

News Taiwan's government strengthens 'silicon shield,' restricts exports of TSMC's most advanced process technologies

And...what's in it for the employees or TSMC here? It's not like America is welcoming to foreigners or very stable economically at the moment. Just give up your life for a severe downgrade?

News PC case and components maker Hyte pauses shipments to U.S. customers amid tariff pressures

They sell Hyte cases and products at nearly every Best Buy, so I think they're high enough volume to have a shipping contract. They're not some small boutique case company by any stretch.

News PC case and components maker Hyte pauses shipments to U.S. customers amid tariff pressures

I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but when you ship a lot of items with a carrier as a company, you usually have a high dollar blanket contract that covers all of your shipping needs and costs. You don't piecemeal it out individually per sale.

News PC case and components maker Hyte pauses shipments to U.S. customers amid tariff pressures

Even the cheap cases from China will be hit with both blanket tariffs and the specific ones on aluminum and steel. Or, from anywhere, for that matter. Nobody makes PC cases in the US. It's going to impct you regardless.

News PC case and components maker Hyte pauses shipments to U.S. customers amid tariff pressures

There are more jobs in the US than there are people to fill them. Who exactly are these people who are going to line up for grueling, low paying factory work?? We've scared off or deported migrant laborers to the point where the farming, dairy, and meat packing industries are in serious...

News RTX 5090 cable overheats to 150 degrees Celsius — Uneven current distribution likely the culprit

I like how everyone is ignoring that he shunt modded the card to remove all normal power limits for the testing. The GPU wouldn't ever be able to reach that kind of power draw under normal conditions due to the VBIOS limiting the power draw, which is what the sense pins are for. If the sense...

News Trump to impose 25% to 100% tariffs on Taiwan-made chips, impacting TSMC

Without people paying taxes and tax enforcement, who's going to pay for all of that exactly? lol No country in history has produced everything it needs domestically. Trade has always existed. If you think that these countries they're slapping tariffs on aren't going to respond in kind with...

News Trump to impose 25% to 100% tariffs on Taiwan-made chips, impacting TSMC

No country in history has ever produced everything it needs domestically. They'll just raise prices for consumers to offset the difference and sell more goods to everyone else. Like the article stated, it takes billions and billions of dollars, about a decade, and a means to attract a lot of...

News Gaming industry insiders say cutting-edge graphics cost too much to make for AAA games

Right, and 7 year olds don't have any money to buy anything. Well made games with high end graphic still get a good return on investment. The industry is losing their collective shirts by chasing live service trends in hopes of being the next Fortnite, which is a fool's errand.
