the z97 is newer and accepts more CPU's/newer so i think that should be a no brainer
as for the CPU's the performance itself is not extended by much except that you are more likely to get more performance out of a 4790k because of the improved thermal performance
if there is a big difference in...
some boards such as the GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-GAMING 7 have Qualcomm Atheros Killer E2201, and while i was looking at the Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO Intel Z97 i found out it has Intel I218V
whats the difference between these 2 and which is better
i am going to be building a new PC soon and wanted to check on my specs
CPU: AMD FX-8320
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14
Motherboard: ASRock 990FX Killer
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB
Storage: WDCaviar Blue 1TB
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 770 2GB...
i need a good headset for about 200$
it will be mostly used for gaming so the music performance doesn't matter to me that much
must look good
and need to have a shit ton of bass
second option is razer kraken forged, a store where i live has it on sale for 215$, but i've seen some harsh reviews...
noctua cooler vs 212 evo
we all know the 212 evo is great and all, i do intend to push my 8320 to its absolute limits, how far would i reach if i go for the noctua coller and is it even worth it
i'm going to be using this board in my build board cuz i got a great deal on it with the CPU
however i have heard of people having trouble overclocking on gigabyte boards, true or just bad overclockers?
also if true can it be dealt with, bios update or anything like that
like i said in the title, should i get the FX 8320 with a samsung 840 evo 120GB ssd (HDD will be added later) , or the i5 4670k with a normal HDD, both options cost about the same price
can't do I5 with SSD, its too expensive
