I have the same EXACT problem. I am diligently working to fix it. I have an hdmi going from my PC to my tv via hdmi-hdmi and I also have the same issue in my side monitor Asus dvi-hdmi (dual monitor setup). BOTH make that awful goddamn crackling popping noise. I am getting a ferrite core...
