i7 give you little to no performance boost in games. They are only better than the i5 when it comes to editing and rendering.

My only concern is the retailer- Scan.co.uk. The r9 280x is 180 pounds there but I've read some bad reviews about the site? Have you had any experience with them?

Hm, I honestly am not sure. This is a really good price and XFX has great coolers too. Isn't the 280x the equivalent of NVidia's 770?

Why do people insist on spending ridiculous amounts of money on their gaming PCs. You can get great 1440p performance for less than 2000. For example, you don't need an i7 if you aren't doing rendering/editing. Neither do you need a 2x780ti. You only get 10-15 fps more. Plus, a single 780ti...

This is horrible. You don't even need half the price of these parts to make a good gaming PC. Most of your parts aren't even for gaming (e.g the Xeon CPU and the GTX Titan which you can easily swap out for a 780ti). Did you seriously just go and get the most expensive parts you can get? And if...
