The New Nvidia 337.50 Beta Drivers

I'm just downloading it now. Not holding my breath though after the last couple of driver releases.

760 acx temps moving higher than expected

Good to hear! You won't have any issues with those temps. If you start seeing high 80's/90's then something's up, but 70-80 at load isn't an issue. Happy gaming!

    General GTX 760 Price Questions

No word on the GTX 800 series yet. I am also waiting for them to drop (I want an 880). There's all kinds of speculation, but nothing concrete as of yet.

    General GTX 760 Price Questions

Both are 760's, therefore both will perform relatively the same. The difference comes down to which cooler/company you like better. Some coolers cool slightly better, but in the long run no 760 is significantly better than any other at stock settings. If you get into overclocking then you can...

760 acx temps moving higher than expected

That is normal temp for both of my cards at stock EVGA Superclocked speeds with MX-4 paste on for benchmarking/mining. Normal gaming I usually see around 50-65C game dependent with an additional overclock. My cards had a temp limit of 80 before I upped it through EVGA Precision X. Once the...

How to significantly improve gaming profromance

You can't upgrade the GPU in a laptop. You'd need to buy a new laptop.

Gotcha, didn't know it was a laptop. You're pretty limited then.

How to significantly improve gaming profromance

Stay with your current RAM, 8GB is plenty for gaming. Your limiting factor is your integrated graphics. Save the money you are looking to spend now and invest in a dedicated video card later, like the GTX 760 (I run 2 of them and pump out a consistent 80-100+ FPS with everything maxed on World...

    dual display config question?

You've answered your own question "D-Sub+DVI-D = YES". Plug them in and try it. Worst thing that will happen is that they won't display properly and you'll have to unhook one, but from what you've posted you should be fine.

    i5 4670k or i7 4770k

i5-4670k for a gaming focused rig. If you're into doing some video rendering/etc like I've been playing with, then the i7-4770k would be the one to go to. Occasionally I regret that I didn't.

EVGA GTX 760 or GTX 760 Super Clocked

The Super Clocked versions guarantee a certain overclock. It does give you a bit more performance (and the cost difference in Canada is like $10, so negligible). Some people like the SC versions because they don't know how to/want to overclock themselves. If you are intending on overclocking...

    Brand New Hyper Evo 212

Yes, unplug it. If the fan isn't spinning/the plug is burnt then it shorted out somewhere and the fan is likely toast (but the system still tried to apply power to it - creating heat and possible your smell). Remove it, then I'd get a new fan to install. If that one does the same thing then your...

I need a new gaming mouse

My vote goes to the SteelSeries Rival. Been using mine for a few weeks now and the thing is awesome. Built solid, comfortable, and performs extremely well compared to the Deathadder/ASUS Rog mice I've had in the past.

gtx 760 acx, load temps 81c, normal?

Are you overclocked? Do you have good airflow in your case? I personally recommend changing the thermal paste (does NOT void EVGA's warranty). Some of the 760's shipped with poorly applied thermal paste from the factory. On my first GTX 760 SC/ACX I dropped my max temp (with factory overclock)...
