I can't seem to set my SSD as my boot drive

It seems like a pain sometimes to reinstall windows but if you make a bootable usb with Windows and you are installing on an ssd it can take as little as 20 minutes. Reinstalling windows is a good thing to do just to get rid of clutter and unwanted programs. Just make sure you copy all your...

Need help with my GPU I can't seem to get the proper fps no matter what i do with any game.

That's great glad we could help you out. Dust can be a massive issue so it might be a good idea for you to try and take some preventative measures against it. First thing I would suggest is learning about positive and negative case pressure a little as having negative case pressure can...

    Random Low GPU Usage

i5 4460, seasonic 620w and g skill ripjaws 8gb 1600mhz. I can't see why it would be a bottle neck as it only started happening a few days ago.

    r9 390 G1 gaming overheating

My msi r9 390 was doing the exact same thing. Sometimes even reaching 94 degrees. I replaced the thermal paste with article cooling mx 2 and got 2 new Ek vardar fans for exhausting the hot air from my case and now I haven't seen temps get to 80 degrees. It usually hovers around 75 degrees...

I would also recommend installing msi afterburner and using that to watch all your usages live in game and see what you get.

Need help with my GPU I can't seem to get the proper fps no matter what i do with any game.

The CPU is most certainly getting to hot and unless lower power states and thermal throttling are disabled in the bios then that chip should be throttling and this is probably what's causing the performance issues. You could get an all in one liquid cooler if it will fit in your case but from...

    First time build

What do you intend to use the pc for mostly? It's a good build my only thoughts are you could downgrade the i7 to an i5 6600k and put the money towards a nicer ssd. I recommend the Samsung 850 evo series personally. And you could possibly downgrade the power supply. Seasonic is an excellent...

    Locking Gpu Clock Speeds

Hope this helps someone else but this solution works perfectly. Download Asus gpu tweak and there is a button that says always run 3d clocks and this just locks the gpu clock at it's max speed.

    Locking Gpu Clock Speeds

I5 4460 and a seasonic 620 watt. It's not drawing to much power because I can run it in benchmarks at 100 percent and full clock speed the whole time and it's fine. It's just in some games it is my understanding that the card slows itself adaptively as a power and heat saving measure and I...

    Locking Gpu Clock Speeds

Turned the fans to 100 percent and temps were under 70 degrees. No luck with the gpu clock though. Still jumps around like crazy.

    Locking Gpu Clock Speeds

It's not the temps. It runs with the clocks all the way up in Valley benchmark at 80 degrees with no throttling. I just want to know if I can lock the clock speed.
