Feldmarschall, the PCI-E output slots from the OCZ PSU are both 8 pin. I have NO idea why they didn't make both cables 2x8pin, but I am confident that both of them are 8 pin. Here's a pic of how the PCI-E slots look like: http://i.imgur.com/Xcyo1Qj.jpg Does that not mean that I can use 2x8pin...

I already own the OCZ powering my 7850 right now, I don't want to get a new PSU which is why I posted this thread trying to get more info on whether or not it will work and any bad things that could happen. And that's just the cables. The output slots are both 8 pin, but I'll use a 6 pin to 8...

http://ocz.com/consumer/psu/fatality-550w-power-supply That is the PSU. It came with 1x 6 pin and 1x 6+2 pin PCIE. The GPU I have now needs 2x8 pin. Can I connect 2x8 pin PCI-E to the PSU? From what I've seen on it, the output ports are both 8 pin on the PSU. Halp.

I tried to look for a cable in my country but that silverthing was the only thing I could find. If I were to buy from amazon I'd pay $6 for it and around $50 for shipping, which is a joke.

I've got 2 red sockets, each with 8 pin that are PCI-E, and 4(?) I think for anything else. These are modular. The wires for the motherboard and cpu are not modular. I already ordered a $25 8 pin to 8 pin cable, hopefully there won't be any problems.

So I have this GPU and it needs 2x 8 pin PCI. I have 1x 8 pin and 1x6 pin. How exactly do I get it to work!? I mean, I would need a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter right? But how does that work? My PSU has 2x8 pin ports so that's alright. Thanks!
