overclocking a non k ivy bridge processor

Yes, you can overclock non-K sandy bridge and Ivy Bridge CPUs if your motherboard supports overclocking. There are three ways to do it. You can overclock up to 4 bin-multiplayers above its turbo boost (raised bin turbo overclocking), make sure all cores run at its max default turbo (not quite...

Resident Evil 2 Remake: HDD can't load game zones at time and freezes

You should get another bigger SSD for games as slow HDD speed could be causing the slow load times/freezes. Also, I see you also posted this on Techpowerup too. You should default to using TPU to troubleshoot issues as the quality of answers and level of expertise on TPU is generally superior...

Intel: We 'Forgot' to Mention 28-Core, 5-GHz CPU Demo Was Overclocked

" the company merely "forgot" to tell the crowd that it had overclocked the system. Intel also said it isn’t targeting the gaming crowd with the new chip." What a load of bull. Who the hell would overclock their CPUs besides gamers and benchmark enthusiasts? The workstation/business crowd would...

    Nvidia gtx960 with corsair tx650 or evga 80+ 600w

A gtx960 uses like 130 watts at full load. With a quad core cpu, you're looking at a system that draws 240-280 watts max. Even a decent 350w PSU with 29 amps on 12v rails would be able to run your system. But out of the two, get the Corsair.

    URGENT GPU Fan Help

Pics? You can probably just realign the fans, glue back the fan shroud if any parts are broken, etc. Even if the fan is completely trashed, you won't need to buy a new GPU. Just buy a dead GPU of the same model on ebay and swap the fan shroud and fans.

    1080ti Grapical Issues

Looks more like a game or driver issue. Do the weird light blobs go away when you open up a menu? If it doesn't pop up in any other games as you say, then it may be those games haven't been debugged for 1080Tis.

    1080ti Grapical Issues

What type of graphical glitches? Post pictures or elaborate. If it's random green/purple/etc lines/dots appearing on the screen then that is classic artifacting and your graphics card is dying. Call bullsh1t on your local retailer and use that replacement warranty you bought. Ask to see them...

    MSI GTX 1060 GAMING X 6gb on 400w psu with 6pin to 8pin adapter?

Why don't you just get a regular GTX1060? Most GTX1060s only require 1 6 pin cable. And if you have the standard 400w PSU that comes in most Z200 HP computers then that's a decent PSU. Go open your computer and look at the PSU and see what the label say. If it's a Delta Electronics PSU with...

wich build is better for gaming , thanks

#2 is the worst option as the core-7000 series has been abandoned by Intel already. Your best bet is #1 or #3. #3 will get you higher fps in most games because most games are GPU-limited if you have a half decent CPU. Only get #1 if you mostly play very CPU-intensive games. Get #3 for most...

    Can't choose between gtx950 and gtx1050

Both are pretty weak and the 1050 is price inflated. If you have a decent PSU, get an older card like the 7970, 7950, GTX760, GTX670, etc used for about $80 and they'll all outperform both the GTX950 and the 1050.
