il i askll ill try and ask ,dont think theyll give it to me though :) anyway probably gonna get a replacement board , get the system running in the meantime, gonna treat this as a side project from now .

if I had the scematics or a board view it would be a lot easier , but I can't find any online , Guess il poke around a bit still ,see if anything comes up.

the chip itself is not , but the heat might .I've checked for continuity around the chip and on the south bridge , as well as randomly on the board did not find anything blown , don't know what the problem could be other then the chip itself .

the chip itself is not that hard to replace with a heat gun , ive done simular things before . My consern is that the problem is not the chip , but is coming from somewhere on the south bridge , if that's the case the board is scrap . Ok , found what I believe is the culprit .So its not the vrm-s that are getting hot , but rather the heat is coming from a chip below them , the chip is hot even with the system down indicating a short .Luckily it seems to be still available ,the chip is a realtek rtl8111e and it is a gigabit...

the VRM-s are also extremely hot , almost burning just after I shut of the system ,but are cooling down once the system is off (with the psu plugged in)

don't see any light on the board , but I dont belive it has any LED's on it the system is running a fx 8320 with a Thermaltake contac 21 cooler 2x ddr3 4gb 1600mhz , saphire r9 270 500gb hdd (7200rpm) 500w generic PSU (can run the system , works with others , usualy only for testing )

I removed the cable from the psu ,drained the power , changed the jumper , removed the battery , left it for about 30min. ,put the jumper back , put in new battery and then started the system again .
