Right, I had a look at the Antec NeoHE /Asus A8N issue. Looks like it was fixed in Dec 2005. Provided the Asus board is Rev 1.02 and the Antec PSU was built after Dec 05 the combo should be fine.

Yeah passive cooling is one of the reasons I am looking at these 2 boards.

Oh yeah.... I'll be using Antec Neo HE 550W PSU if that makes a diff.

The original A8N-SLI is a high class piece of crap. Don't believe me? PM wusy. Anyone got anything bad to say about the A8N SLI Premium? or The Gigabyte K8N Pro SLI?

Sorry. Thats Australian dollars. :) So is there any down side to having SLI? Do the drivers work well, no problems? Does the picture look as good as if it were a single card, no line between top and bottom, or no sync issues?

Hi. Looking at the layout of this mobo it looks like running SLI will knock out 2 of the PCI slots. Is this true? What expansion slots can you reasonably use for other stuff if running SLI?

SLI isn't worth the money, so I'll rather have a single, better card, than two good cards. Although 7900GT is one of the better cards available, I would prefer more powerful 7900GTX or X1900XT. BTW, you do get performance losses in SLI. And on top, SLI mobo and PSU that will run dual cards...

Actually. I think I found the answer. "no" :( If I was to go with PC3200 DDR ram will I notice much difference compared with DDR400 currently my options are 2x1GB Kingston DDR400 or OCZ, Corsair performance stuff but only in PC3200. Which would be better.

Building an AMD 64 system so will have a mobo that supports ddr400. I am finding it hard to find a pair of 1GB sticks in DDR400 and am wondering if I can put DDR2 533 (PC4200) in instead? If so, will this result in higher overclockability?
