Try rendering in Zbrush, if it crashes, you have found your problem, it is the ram.

Question does your rendering software utilize your ram or just your GPU? If it utilizes only your gpu, than I would say your ram is shot that is why your games are lagging out... If it utilizes your ram than I would say your gpu is shot...

You should be fine, a little outdated for hard gaming, but you should be just fine. You might need to tweak games setting to get them optimal for this set up.

You won't be playing BF1 with this pc any time soon, but you do have tons of upgrade potential with it :) You will need more Ram, a better cpu, and maybe a better gpu to play modern games at medium settings...

That is probably your problem... Your HDD can't send bytes fast enough for your OS and game at the same time.... Try buying a $50 ssd, and putting your OS on it...

Sounds like you fried your GPU....

SO just to recap, your CPU will be about the same, the GPU is like 240% better, the motherboard is a lot better as well, your ram is faster (but you will have less so upgrade in the future for another stick), and your power supply is the best at that wattage :D For $250 it will be really hard...
