    A7V-E + Athlon XP?

According to http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=A7V-E It looks like that's the highest processor it supports. It would be a much better to upgrade the entire motherboard for a new processor, socket A processors are getting to be more expensive than the...

    Video Capture recommendations?

Please let us know how it works out. I'm going to be in the market for a new capture card within the next few months. I'm about fed up with my ATI TV wonder, even with powervcr, the audio sync still seems a little off. Good luck!

    Video Capture recommendations?

As far as I know, most of the cheaper USB devices just send a raw stream of video to the computer for everything to be done in software (audio still goes to the soundcard). I know because I have one and the video/audio sync is horrible and the FPS stays noticeably below the normal 24. I believe...

    MSI K8N Neo4-F... I have a couples of problems...

The memory has to be in the particular slots for dual channel to work. If both are in the same color on this board, it will run in single channel mode. I agree, no reason to use the nvidia ide driver if the microsoft one works.

    HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH

I got 2804 with a P3 600 mhz with a geforce fx5200. I'm sure it wouldn't have done as well with its original graphics card, a RivaTNT2 with a whopping 32 megs of ram. Now I need to try it with my AMD k6-2 475.....

Three systems (Opteron, Pentium, Athlon 64 x2) - need help

Yeah, don't even bother with XP 64. I had the trial, and gave up on it after I couldn't even get drivers for my ATI tv tuner. Don't even bother. Novell has a really good version of their SUSE linux available for free download (just with no tech support), it supports 64 bit, and the best thing is...

Athlon X2 without the 4pin connector plugged in

Not trying to insult anyone's intelligence, but try hitting the reset button after you hit the power switch. I have to do this every time I do a boot from no power, like when it's been unplugged. I get no video or anything until I hit reset. I think on my computer it's a power supply issue; not...

    Nforce4 Still have problems?

I have had no problems with my MSI board based on the Nforce 4. I've had it since about September of 2005. The only thing that's come close to a problem was having to disable NCQ on my sata drive because windows didn't get past the loading screen with it enabled. I haven't tried it with the...
