    Depand for what ... gaming no really. Multi GPU, YES. Encoding-Rendering YES The I7 have a great advantage in the memory bandwith and SLI/CF with 3 GPU.

    As i told, you can grab the Newer GTX275. Or just wait for DX11 card to come out. since ATI are supposed to show there prety face at the end of the month and Nvidia will follow the dance !

    They are basically the same card. If you GOOGLE it, youll find that the 1792mb vs the 896mb give a very similar performance. Unless you are gaming at 25x16 ... get the 896mb version ( or 2 GTX275 )

    youll play AION on HIGH settings with this rig. If you really want to uprgade get a GTX260 that can be founf for nearly 150$ sometimes :D Or just wait for the DX11 cards to come out PLZ !

    Nice, i was about to tell you to do this ;) 2.6ghz is a bottleneck ... Stress test and be sure its stable and stay under 80c full load with small FFT

    driver or something. Try reinstalling Nvidia latest or older driver to see if this make a difference. Be sure to have latest DX too.

    Difference between 2xPCI-E: 8x8 vs 16x16

    8x ~ 80gbs 16x ~ 160gbs As badge told. 8x8x can do it. Lots of bench show that its currently GPU/platform bottlenecked and not PCIe lane bottlenecked. For the best SLI/CF performance i suggest I7. They scale really better with multi GPU.

    ill alwais recommand SLIing IDENTICAL cards for the best compatibility. But a X 9800GT can work with a Y 9800GT. with newer driver the clock of the card dont seems to mater but the memory can still be an issue. Try to at least get a same memory model card. ( IE: 512 with 512 )

    IF your using I7. 3 GTX285 OCed as well as the FTW GTX295 ..... 3SLI GTX285 still win ... guess why !

    3sli GTX285 is better vs QUADgtx295. 3 SLI GTX285 with 4.0ghz I7 = awesome rig ( quite useless ;) )
