So i got a H61 board for free and i want to upgrade my CPU. I can get used i5 2500 and i5 3470 for roughly the same price. But can the mobo run the i5 3470 without a BIOS upgrade? The mobo does have support for ivy bridge procs but my main concern is whether i will have to upgrade the BIOS?

I mostly want to play Fifa, Gta 5, Far Cry etc. Only SP games, no MMOs or strategy games.

My CPU is i3 540. I plan to game at 1366*768 res. Also my PSU has 17A on the 12V rail(looking to upgrade it).
