forgive me if this is a stupid answer, I was able to change the speed of the fans using software on my laptop, you might be able to change the power/speed by downloading software or through the BIOS

My laptop has been freezing. If I do a factory restore and it continues freezing, does this prove there is a hardware problem? there are no viruses, thanks for your help
