I checked all the wires and even re install gpu driver. I really think the cards are NOT compatible. I borrowed a r9 280 from a friend and BAM works. So I'm going to sell the 7970 and get two of the same. Thank you for your time and help. Cheers

I've been researching. And I see a lot of ppl saying it is compatible. So I am doing something wrong. Maybe I should re install and or swap the 280 as primary. But it's weird how I can play counter strike source. But not counter strike global offensive and dayz standalone. It crashes w those two...

Hmm I'm not too sure on that. I was running the 7970 first. Then I added the 280. So you think my pc is still running on the 7970 driver ? I didn't do anything but added the 280. Launched game and it crashed.

Oh. I'm sorry. I don't know the temp while steam is up. I'm thinking 50s C ? I will check later tonight. Thanks guys for the quick reply !

The temp is fairly cool running around 30s -40s celious. Radoen 7970 and r9 have almost the same specs. I may be wrong. Sorry in advance.
