I ended up replacing the power supply.

I built the system as seen below. When I plug something like an iPhone charger into the top of the wall receptacle shared by the computer, the monitor light turns orange and the screen goes blank. The fans on the computer are still running, as are the LED lights for the case and keyboard. A...
