Yupp i look at cpu-z and now its running at 4.7 ghz my bios says im running the FCb updated version for the chip.

its working now. i dont know what i did but the 3rd reboot made it work , thanks for the help everyone.

So i took out my usb and now it says their is no boot option so it took me back to my bios

Wait so change the boot mode selections? Or keep it the same and take out my usb. Theirs also another option storage boot option control and it was set to legacy first should that be UEFI only? Oh the boot option was on my usb so i disabled that. so now it should be fine right?

Now its telling me to reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected bott device and press any key. So how do i reboot?

When i first looked at my OS it said other. So i set it to windows 8 and f10 but it did the same thing. Is their anything in this category that i should change?

Ok so i did what the instructions asked for so i can go into the bios and it shows it stock now at 4.7 but it wont go into windows saying "Not able to read BIOs file successfully" what do i do now?

when i do the q flash i get to the part where it says update the bios from drive i click enter but nothing happens but i can hit enter on exit and it takes me right out? and i got it on a stick drive

Ok so right now i just have version FB so how do i get to the point of getting FCB i was looking at the link you sent but im a noob to the pc world and this seems like something you dont want to mess up on.

yeah the cpu z says im at 4 ghz. So do i just have to update my motherboard or do i need to get a brand new one? And i have the corsair h100i liquid cooler on it so heat is not a issue.

Never mind about that comment! I havnt updated anything sense i got the motherboard less then a year ago .

I have the gigabyte 990fxa ud5.

So i went and bought the aswome fx 9590 from AMD and when i went to task manager it only shows it running at 4 ghz. my Mobo is a GA 990fxa ud5 so i dont think that is the problem. I reset all the settings back to default in the bios but that didnt seem to change anything.

Can someone send me to the place where it explains how to OC my AMD 8150? New to the computer world! Been looking at youtube but most of them are just videos of them showing the Ghz on the screen. thanks
