After research and testing, the c0 code means problems with the cpu. So I've sent back the cpu and the mobo, bought the x370 killer SLI mobo instead and the same cpu. It all works now. According to what I've found I think the mobo was faulty. But all good now so thanks for all th e replies guys!

i apologize for the late reply, had to wait for the thermal paste to arrive. I have reapplied the paste, fitted a single RAM, and disconnected all of the SATA connectors. No GPU installed. ensured that all of the plugs are plugged in, however, when i turned it on it did the same as before...
