SSD "write" operations are slow, "read" operations are faster than the writes -- suggest you compare the specs of the hard drive to the specs of the SSD since not all hard drives are created equal in read - write speeds.

Suggest you install a 2nd drive ASAP to back up your data. You might not get another warning. Best to spend $70-100 now before the drive dies, and save your data. Depending on the amount of data you have on board the old drive suggest you buy a name brand Seagate or Western Digital hard drive...
