Sorry about the late solution. Basically i called Microsoft Support and they told me it is an update for users running on older Microsoft OS'es. This means that if you run Windows 7, you can buy the student version and thereby upgrade it to Windows 8.1 instead of buying a whole new OS.

I just restored the PC - I'll see if the problem continues, if it does, I'll get a new cooler (and paste). I'll keep you guys updated. Any other suggestions, feel free to post them!

Okay i tried the CPU stress test, after temperatures went to 82C i shut it off. GPU is stable at 73 degrees C throughout the test. I've read that i could be RAM as well, so I'll be checking that out now. Jesus i don't get this...

Thanks! :) Can i do something to test the system? Run a stress test on CPU and maybe enable the GPU again and do a stress test there? If i monitor the temperatures would that force the problem to show?

Okay it just shut off again.. I've disabled the GPU now so we'll have to wait and see. But why does this happen after working perfectly for 3 weeks? If there were a problem with some of the components, wouldn't it have shown back then already?

Oh sorry bigna, i just saw your answer - Well i have found that event 41, Kernel Power has happened on the days when my computer shut down, that is basically it.. Trying to update drivers now

Oh okay - I'll look into that. If anyone else have suggestions, you're more than welcome. I'm trying to search around the web for possible solutions, I'll keep you posted.

Yes i am using the stock cooler, but i read somewhere that temperatures below 80 C is fine - and i figured since I'm not overclocking or anything, the stock cooler shoud have me covered (why would intel add a cooler that can't cool the system?)
