Update: finally got my setup working early this summer - maybe just bad luck, who knows? But now i've bought a new psu, new stick of ram, yadda yadda... and i've spent much $$$ to ship the cards for rma. At least its working though, right?

I've had all sorts of problems with 1.5. It's disappointing because I have always used Firefox. I'm using Opera now and it seems to be faster (and does not crash every five minutes).

I think I'll pass on the 7 series or at least wait until the 8's are released so that 7800 prices come down. I still have no problem with one 6800gt. What do you think the next line of graphics cards will bring to the table?

BF2 does have some bad apples - bunny hopping, vehicle whoring, etc etc, but overall it is an awesome game. The next patch will also do away with many of these things. Sometimes you get in a server like you described, with people randomly running around, but I have had many many games where...

Also, can I use an ATI Tv card with an Nvidia graphics card?

Either Western Digital or Seagate. I own that 250gb Seagate and I have been extremely pleased. I used to have a WD and I never had any problems with it. The Seagates are by far the most quiet, however. I would not get near that Maxtor, I've heard way too many problems with those.

I'd recommend either Pioneer or Lite-On. I've never had problems with either brand.

I'm debating buying a tv tuner card for my pc but I have no experience with them. I have digital cable and some of the channels are HD. I would love an HD capable card, but was wondering if it would be worth it since I just have a 17" Dell Ultrasharp. I know my graphics card can display HD...

hmm... yeah that's not quite a fair comparison. Bf2 just showcases make believe battles between China's army and the USMC. As an amphibious force, the Marines don't just invade a country all alone.

AMD 3500+ and BFG 6800GT (PCI-E) slightly overclocked out of the box. Everything runs great on max settings/resolutions.
