Yep! That didn't help. Thanx for the reply though. I ended up using Ryzen Master to shut down 8 of the cores. RM lets you set (2) profiles. I set the 2nd profile to disable half of the cores since I cudn't find a viable (.Bat.) file.

Try to write down the error code(s) and post them. How old is your rig? What are its' Specs?

No, Not risky IMO. I've had to do that plenty of times through the years, but I usually wait a day or 2 between updating just for good measure.

Depends on if your gonna overclock it. Also consider the ambient temp of the room the PC is in.
