Sounds like the OCZ ATV (Turbo). Great performance and great durability. If the ATV stops working for any reason, you send it back and get a new one, although I can't seem to find them any more. I saw a video for the ATV in which they froze it in a block of ice, smashed it free with a sledge...

by "it" i do not mean counting upgrades peripherals, but that these so caller peripherals outsold full machines.

Counting any PC upgrade as a peripheral seems like a stretch, but it makes sense with the economy. Instead of buying a whole new computer, an upgrade is much cheaper, and can extend the life of a computer quite a bit. Heck, I was still running Windows 98SE in 2007 without any major problems...

To me, it is just the fact that MS favors usability to security. When you buy a new computer, the first account you create is the admin account. Once you are logged on, all you have to do is hit OK to do anything you want. Sure, if you create a new standard user account then this doesn't apply...

Go into BIOS and make sure that it is using the correct spec. There should be a setting that allows you to choose your front panel output as either AC97 or HD Audio, assuming it allows both. If there is no choice, first try one and then the other.

I was hoping for a card with SPDIF input so I could hook up my T260HD to it and get some good sound as those speakers are awful. The XT doesn't add anything to the front panel. It is the same card with the add on card that only adds support for 7.1 analog output.
