This is What Internet Explorer 9 Might Look Like

maybe if they didnt put buttons all across the UI then it would be okay. Back/Forward on the left, Stop and refresh in the middle, and home and favorites on the right. makes no sense.

TunaSodaThere are magical tabs on your START BAR that groupBrowser tabs are annoying, and I have them completely disabled To each his own, but multiple instances of firefox use much more RAM than a single with multiple tabs, and depending on the OS all the browsers are not necessarily grouped...

HP and Dell Still Dominating U.S. PC Sales

The new line of pavilions are constructed very well. I would not buy any of pre-packaged desktops but with laptops there is really no other options

LaCie XtremKey USB Drive is Almost Indestructible

Sounds like the OCZ ATV (Turbo). Great performance and great durability. If the ATV stops working for any reason, you send it back and get a new one, although I can't seem to find them any more. I saw a video for the ATV in which they froze it in a block of ice, smashed it free with a sledge...

Consumers Spend More $$ on Peripherals Than PCs?

Counting any PC upgrade as a peripheral seems like a stretch, but it makes sense with the economy. Instead of buying a whole new computer, an upgrade is much cheaper, and can extend the life of a computer quite a bit. Heck, I was still running Windows 98SE in 2007 without any major problems...

    Dell: Ubuntu Safer than Windows

To me, it is just the fact that MS favors usability to security. When you buy a new computer, the first account you create is the admin account. Once you are logged on, all you have to do is hit OK to do anything you want. Sure, if you create a new standard user account then this doesn't apply...

How to use Intel® High Definition Audio ???

Go into BIOS and make sure that it is using the correct spec. There should be a setting that allows you to choose your front panel output as either AC97 or HD Audio, assuming it allows both. If there is no choice, first try one and then the other.

HT Omega Claro Halo: HD Audio Support?

I was hoping for a card with SPDIF input so I could hook up my T260HD to it and get some good sound as those speakers are awful. The XT doesn't add anything to the front panel. It is the same card with the add on card that only adds support for 7.1 analog output.

HT Omega Claro Halo: HD Audio Support?

The HT Omega site says that the Halo supports the old AC'97 Standard for front audio: "Advanced Front Panel Audio support: Enjoy headphone amplifier output on Front Panel Audio installed directly to your PC case. CLARO Halo provides Intel standard (AC97) Front Panel Audio pins for your case...
