Without a platform refresh you are VERY limited. If you can get a 650ti card for next to nothing then go for it. I bought a pair off of craigslist for $50. They both worked and oc'ed well. I found a deal though as I sold the 2nd for $50 alone.

If you turn off your intel gpu you should get back the mem. Your nvidia is the better display option but it uses more power. Make decision which one you want. If you game at all go with nvidia. Chack under the intel options and see if you can decrease the memory. If not there then try the bios.
