I am about to buy a new PSU for my gtx 1070 ftw/6700k setup and I need a new PSU. I thought about getting the Cooler Master V 550 or the Corsair RMx 550. How do these PSUs fair against the EVGA G2?

Whats the opinion on the RMx 550? I can only see the RM1000x listed on the tier list. So I guess there is a difference?

I somewhere read, that HT is getting more and more important for gaming (I think one reason was, that new gen consoles are using more cores aswell.)

My issue with Skylake is, thats its biggest (or atleast one) adventage is USB 3.1 and M.2, both I really dont think how to properly utilize. Is there more to Skylake? Sorry, my knowledge is pretty limited.

Isnt 750 W a little bit too much? I plan on getting polaris/pascal (kinda depends ofc) in 1-2 years, do you know if they are going to use a lot of W?
