Switched the GPU's PCI-E slot and the game actually worked for 5 minutes... until the inevitable crash. I then decided to use the game's lowest settings available and voila... the game is working without any crashes. But I am not content.

I have the BenQ XL2411z 144hz and I will never go back to 60hz again. The colors are good too on mine.

I removed the CPU connector and the computer seems to run in the same state as when the CPU connector is plugged.
