[SOLVED] I5 6500 bottleneck? Stuttering & FPS Drops. (Looking to Upgrade)

I think, first of all you just have to be sure what the issue is then start to making some changes. I strongly recommend you to use MSI Afterburner and find out which component holds you back.

[SOLVED] I5 6500 bottleneck? Stuttering & FPS Drops. (Looking to Upgrade)

@BrettBuhler I had suspected HDD until I realized you have 4 GB of VRAM. I don't think SSHD would be an issue. You can keep using it.

[SOLVED] I5 6500 bottleneck? Stuttering & FPS Drops. (Looking to Upgrade)

@BrettBuhler it looks like so... But it's not always that simple. Just because your GPU doesn't hit anything above than 50%, it doesn't mean you won't suffer VRAM limitation. Games have big textures even on 1080p and normal settings. I think your CPU is a good pair with RX 480, but when you play...

[SOLVED] I5 6500 bottleneck? Stuttering & FPS Drops. (Looking to Upgrade)

16 GB Single Channel RAM sounds a little bit suspicious for me as well as 1 TB HDD. But I think the real issue is 4 GB of VRAM. It's obviously not enough... That's why you get a lot of stuttering and FPS drops after a while, because it reaches to the limit. You can check your VRAM usage by...

monitor won't show any signal when installing a new gpu

Does your PC boot with RX 570? In opposition to RX 570, GTX 750 Ti doesn't require any additional pin connectors from PSU... So make sure you connect PCIe power connections and getting signal from correct interface like HDMI.

    [SOLVED] I7 3770 gtx 690 worth buying 2018

It's strange that nobody asked the price of the build, lol. I would give it a go for a reasonable price tag. BTW the lack of SSD, not enough RAM and slightly odd GPU makes this build fairly unreliable in todays era.

Desktop GPU Performance Hierarchy Table (Archive)

There are some odd things that make me confused... According to Passmark, Gtx 750 TI has almost three times higher benchmark performance than Gtx 295. But in this list 750 TI is in a lower tier than Gtx 295... How could this be possible ? Is this dependent on the software that calculates the...

    Question about my PSU

Do you use stock cooler ? By the way you didn't state if you overclock your CPU/GPU/RAM and info about your OS ? The issue you face could somehow be related to your GPU driver or Windows 10 compatibility, if possible you should try another version after a little research, because latest one...

    Question about my PSU

I suggest you to calculate your estimated power usage from here: http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator And anyway, your overall consumption no way near 750 watt, I think, but you should try it even so. If everything seems allright, you better check temperature values of CPU and GPU...

    Question about my PSU

I mean installing GPU to PCI Express slot and extra pin connectors on the device. It doesn't fit properly maybe.
