Is it more likely to have been a blown capacitor than the screen itself going out?

Power adapter

Screen solid black, power LED stays solid as if it were powered on / not blinking as if in standby, plugged in to PC or not the behavior doesn't change, any ideas? Edit: Power light is on always while plugged in, pressing the power button doesn't seem to do anything.
