Question Gigabyte Aorus GA-Z270X-Gaming 7 EVGA 650P2 Post-power loss intermittent refusal to turn on/post at all

Update: The core problem still exists(the odd behavior and resistance to turning on after power loss), but I have managed to get it to turn on once more. The CMOS battery was pretty much dead, and replacing it managed to eventually let the machine startup again.

Question Gigabyte Aorus GA-Z270X-Gaming 7 EVGA 650P2 Post-power loss intermittent refusal to turn on/post at all

It is usually relatively stable (and/or the UPS was still functioning as intended). I would say outages are generally the exception and not the norm. However, during the temporal locality around the recent bout of storms, it was not stable at all, though the PC spent almost the entire time...

How To Manage Virtual Memory (Pagefile) In Windows 10

Can you not put a pagefile on a secondary (non-windows) drive (as a second pagefile; from what I understand windows forces you to have at least a small one on your primary windows installation drive)? The virtual memory manager lets you set one up but it doesn't persist between restarts (at...

Help me understand some anomalies with how windows pagefile allocation works

Yes as far as I can tell, Windows will not recognize a pagefile on my non-primary drive at all. If I go to task manager in the memory section, my "Committed" max amount, which is physical RAM + VRAM from my understanding, is only a function of the size of the pagefile on the primary C drive

Help me understand some anomalies with how windows pagefile allocation works

So I've been playing around with my pagefile because I would prefer it to be on my secondary HDD rather than SSD (even tho theres pros and cons and it really isn't that important to do so), and I've come across behavior that doesn't much make sense to me. When both drives have no page file...

Windows Update broke a few things...fixed everything except a pagefile prompt annoyance

Strangely, even with hidden files visible the search function can't find any pagefile.sys file on either drive.

Critical Kernel Power 41 (63): Black screen, restart when playing high-demand games

I had a problem like this around 5 years ago and it was due to a bad power supply (and potentially a bad videocard), but didn't come up with the kernel message (or any message). Since you've replaced most of the parts and you DO get an error message...in my inexpert opinion it is unlikely to be...

Windows Update broke a few things...fixed everything except a pagefile prompt annoyance

The windows update that rolled out today(12/15 called " 2017-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4054517)" i believe) managed to break a few things for me, but I was able to fix them by reverting to my build from 12/12 using the advanced recovery route...

Cooling faulty, improperly installed, or normal? EDIT: Software reading Clarification/Concerns

I'm using the default settings for the S24, so I probably can get a bit more performance out of it by switching it to PWM mode as well. On a somewhat seperate, but related issue: So perhaps I misunderstand how things work, but upon starting my computer DrvUpd.exe (32 bit) [this is a Gigabyte...
