Question Worth Upgrading an i5 4570 to an i7 4770?

You can usually sell the 4590 for some cash on facebook or wherever you sell stuff. Getting an i7 will let you delay buying a whole new rig that much longer, get a new cooler if you have an Intel Stock cooler too, it will feel much better

Question MSI GTX 1660 TI weird clock speeds and pretty hot idling!

Also as it's a new PC, have you installed all the current NVidia drivers etc and done a reboot? That should be number 1 on to do list if you haven't

    Question Liquid Cooling Temp High

Sounds fine to me aswell, time to stop benchmarking and use it. You're below 80C so that's good, benchmarking is about the most stressful thing you can do to your PC - you're typically smashing both CPU and GPU at the same time just for the sake of it. even intensive rendering typically uses...

Question My computer turns on and off, sometimes stays on then randomly shuts off reboots, then fails, then continuously tries to reboot.

You haven't mentioned the HDD, especially if it's an Intel SDD, then that would be the problem. My company has experienced many failed Intel SSDs which were RMA'd and failed again! Could be worth trying a different HDD though I think

Question Why is my CPU maxed in almost any game i play, whereas a friend with worse specs is fine?

Your CPU might be getting too hot and going slower than in should, when they get hot they downclock then run way slower than they should. If reinstall etc. doesn't work, check the temps next time it's at 100%, if they're over 80°C, redo the thermal pase with arctic silver or similar, if you have...

    Question Gaming i5 vs i7

If you look at CPU Userbench your 4670K vs a Ryzen 2600, you're going to get an ~11% gaming performance increase; though massive 40% increase as a workstation. You could just be thermal throttling so your CPUs 100% may be a downclocked 100% despite it 'maxing out'. If you have already done...

Question I want to download games on my D drive which has 1Tb but i'm not sure if it is safe.

This is normal and it's totally safe. I have two 'tricks' to installing games on my D drive and keeping it tidy Tip 1: when installing the game and choosing the directory, just edit the text and replace the C with a D, then it created a tidy directory. Tip 2: Alternatively I install certain...

    Question Gaming i5 vs i7

Your CPU is still pretty good, twice as fast as an AMD 8350 which I was getting 60-90 frames on Heaven Benchmarks with a 1060 6GB before I upgraded. You should try and re-do the Thermal Paste if you can manage it. See if it helps, could buy you some time, especially if you haven't done it before

    Question Ryzen 5 2600x 207 degrees lol?

It must have been a startup glitch, nothing would make it go over 100C in a startup sequence, not even bad thermal paste, you can a PC without thermal paste for a few awhile usually before you notice there a problem

Question Switching information between two SSDs

Just do a file transfer over night. It would pretty old school and unnecessary to partition drives, especially SSDs. It was done early to late 2000s more to make large HDDs more accessible and less fragmented, or sometimes to merge HDDs into one partition, we have the luxury of not worrying...

    Question Advantage NVMe.....for all storage?

I second this question, my NVMe is my boot drive and used for my biggest, slowest or most used programs, my SATA is my alternate program files and my HDDs are media / back-up / non-working folders

Question Which SSD should I buy???

You should not worry about advertised speeds if you're on a serious budget. You should get the largest SSD you can - ideally any well known SSD will be great from Samsung, Seagate, Western Digital, Crucial ,any others I may have missed. Get at least 500GB unless you really only play 3 games at...

    Question Advantage NVMe.....for all storage?

I think you will need to combine an NVMe SSD with a SATA SSD; unless you have serious money, because you'll need somewhere to store your completed files etc and if its professional use then there is a big difference between those two vs HDDs. There are various comparison videos on youtube that...
