Question Very faint electrical buzzing sound coming from laptop ?

I just got a new ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 OLED laptop and whenever powered on, there are some very faint electrical sounding noises coming from it. I can only hear them if I put my ear right next to to keyboard or to the back of the laptop. I have another ASUS laptop laying around from a few years...

Question Geekbench 6 multi core scores much lower than they should be.

Yes I've been monitoring the CPU temps. I've tried to close everything I can. I would boot into diagnostic mode but the free version of Geekbench shows your results in a web browser (can't get online in diagnostic mode). I've been doing some research and I think I have an idea as to why my score...

Question Geekbench 6 multi core scores much lower than they should be.

I just got a new ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 OLED (i9 13900H with RTX 4060) a few days ago and have been running some benchmarks on it. I've been able to get respectable numbers on all but 1 test. For whatever reason, my laptop can't score very high in the Geekbench 6 CPU multi core test. Supposedly, my...

    Question Sub-par Cinebench R23 score on ?

I just got this Asus Zenbook Pro 14 OLED laptop a few days ago and have been running some benchmarks on it. This thing has an Intel Core i9-13900H processor and an RTX 4060. I've watched some videos on this laptop and seen some reviews online. Supposedly, the i9-13900H can hit up to around 19000...

Question Do I need to replace the thermal putty on smaller components if I repaste the CPU and GPU?

The thermal paste it shipped with doesn't appear to be very good or is in bad condition. During Cinebench R23 the CPU was hitting close to 100C and thermal throttling almost instantly. I could only barely squeeze out a score (multicore) of around 16200 on an Intel i9 13900H. Some people were...

Question Do I need to replace the thermal putty on smaller components if I repaste the CPU and GPU?

I just got a new ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 OLED and am looking to repaste it as the stock thermal paste wasn't the best. I have some Arctic MX6 I was planning to try on the CPU and GPU. I don't really want to replace the thermal putty on the surrounding components but if I'm going to take of the...

Question Is it normal for there to be a small amount of backlight bleed on an IPS monitor.

I recently bought a new monitor and realized today there is a small area on the top edge with a bit of backlight bleed. I can't see it unless the screen is black or dark grey.

[SOLVED] I couldn't screw in all the stand off of my motherboard. Is it okay?

I was recently building a pc for a friend and ran into a problem. We were installing a micro atx board into a full sized case. We couldn't get bottom two standoffs out of the case to move them. We just gave up and ended up screwing the board into the four holes we could. Those holes being the...

Question Power Supply electrical buzzing noise. Is it normal?

How would I know if any serious damage was done by my power supply? Everything is working fine right now. No problems. Also, what would be a good 650w power supply for under 120ish dollars? Are there any "cheap", but reliable power supplies? I don't have a ton of money ready to drop on this...

Question Power Supply electrical buzzing noise. Is it normal?

My power supply, when under a large load like Modern Warfare, makes an audible, high pitch buzz. I'm thinking it could be the sound of the electricity going from the outlet to the cable. Honestly, I don't know.

[SOLVED] What's using all my ram?

I've noticed some weird inconsistencies with my ram usage in Windows 10. When I go into the task manager, it says I'm using about 33% of my ram at idle. When I look at all the processes, there is no way they all add up to 5 gigs ram (I have 16 gigs). When I go to performance though, it says I'm...

    Ryzen 5 overclock

I recently overclocked my ryzen 5 1400 from 3.2Hz to 3.7Hz without touching the voltage. I ran cinebench multiple times successfully and stress tested it with Prime95 all night successfully. Does this mean that I don't need to add extra voltage?
