On paper the fx 6300 should beat that phenom, but the fx 6300 is only a phenom x3 tri-core processor that has had the cores split in to 2 vishera cores made out of one bulldozer core from the phenom line up so therefore the performance is scaling correctly and you are not having any problems at all
