    Wow is this embarassing.. . :oops: So looking at the HD_AUDIO cable again, I noticed that I put the bottom row female connector on the top row of pins and left the bottom row of pins bare! Took it out and plugged it back in correctly this time and everything worked! I must've accidentally...

    Yeah, I didn't suspect it was a power supply problem, but I can't find any improperly plugged cables. I can try and trace the related cables again and see if they're plugged in. The next course of action after that seems to be unplug everything and plug it back in again, which is a pain. :/

    Only if they're plugged in from the back, when plugged in from the front it shows them as "not plugged in". And yes they're set to default when they're plugged in (from the back of course).

    I don't know of this helps, but my headphones and microphone are recognized when plugged into the motherboard through the back, so the headphones aren't faulty.

    Today I swapped an old Dell PSU for a Corsair 750W, before I did this my front plate audio jacks were working fine, now they aren't recognized in the Playback/Recording tabs in the Windows sound manager. Because I was trying to work on my cable management, I unplugged everything I thought could...
